I know for many of us, the joy of holding our magazines in our hands and turning her pages does not lend itself to wanting the digital format. But what a lovely thing to have a backup of every issue, should anything ever happen to our hard copies. I just had to share this offer with those of you who have visited and shared here, as we are all kindred spirits when it comes to our favorite magazine!
I saw that too and posted about it a few days ago. I have my paper copies from day one, but it might be kinda nice to have it on DVD too.
ReplyDeleteI have also been a reader from the beginning when I was 12! I have recently had to replace some of my issues that had been lost over time.
ReplyDeleteIt was a very long, tiring, and expensive project. I could not rest until my missing issues were replaced. They are truly one of my most loved possessions, they are such a reflection of myself. Nice to hear about other loyal readers.
As I am very grateful for Phyllis's Hoffman bringing back our beloved jewel, nobody will ever be able to replace Nancy lindemeyer's passion and dedication to the magazine and its success.
I have also been loyal reader since Victoria's birth. I was only 12 when it was first published.
ReplyDeleteI have recently had to replace a few of my issues I have lost since 1987... wow, what a long, expensive, and exhausting project. I could not rest until any vacant issue was replaced.
I can honestly say that this magazine is one of my most prized possessions... I am very grateful to Hoffman media, and phyliss Hoffman for bringing back our beloved companion, but nobody could ever compare to Nancy lindemeyer's passion, love, and dedication that was reflected in every issue to our magazine and books!!!! So nice to know there other loyal readers like me, feel like we are becoming a extinct breed. Cheers to us!!!!
I agree, I have lost a few of my issues since 1987. Wow, what a expensive and time consuming project that was. I could not rest until the few of my missing copies were replaced.
ReplyDeleteThis is a nice option, but I treasure every one of my copies to this day. Thank you to Nancy lindemeyer's contributions and dedication that led to so many loyal
Readers. So glad phliss Hoffman revived our good friend back to life!
This is being offered for $79. in your latest issue. Why is the price different online?
ReplyDeleteI have a whole card file of old Victoria recipes I am trying to put in a cooking software database. Other magazines have recipes online and I can copy and paste them. Does anyone know if you can copy and paste from this DVD? I have all my old copies of Victoria, but I would buy the DVD just to save me time typing all my recipes into the database. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteAre the discs compatible with DVD players?
ReplyDeleteCan i view on my DVD player?
ReplyDeleteSo sorry to just now be getting back here to respond to your questions about this. It's been quite a couple of months. I am not affiliated with Hoffman Media, so I really can't answer your questions about the DVD. As for me, I am hoping to get the DVD for Christmas. :) If and when I do, I will be sure to let you know how it works.
